UNDERCOVER’s Spring/Summer 2003 collection, titled “SCAB”, marks Jun Takahashi’s first-ever runway presentation in Paris — a historic debut that introduced the world to his raw, deconstructed vision.

The collection fused punk aesthetics with medical, military, and artisanal elements — featuring distressed fabrics, visible stitching, bandage motifs, and asymmetrical silhouettes. “SCAB” embodied both fragility and rebellion, defining early 2000s Japanese avant-garde fashion and laying the foundation for UNDERCOVER’s global presence.

Key archive pieces include the Giz ring, hand-knit tops, gauze-layered accessories, and patchworked garments, many of which remain highly collectible today.

UNDERCOVERの2003年春夏コレクション「SCAB」は、高橋盾が初めてパリコレクションの舞台に立った記念すべきシーズンです。世界に向けて、解体主義的で生々しいブランドのビジョンを強烈に印象付けた歴史的なデビューとなりました。

このコレクションでは、パンクの美学に加え、医療・ミリタリー・クラフト的な要素を融合。ダメージ加工、生々しい縫製、包帯モチーフ、非対称のシルエットが特徴で、脆さと反骨精神が共存する強烈な美学を表現しています。

Gizリングをはじめ、手編みニット、ガーゼ使いのアクセサリー、パッチワークシャツなど、現在も高い人気を誇るアーカイブピースが数多く生まれました。
